Early 2015 Fantasy WR Rankings

By March 4, 2015 No Comments

In recent years the wide receiver position has experienced a boom of both talent and depth that makes me foam at the mouth. It was a little difficult to create my the rankings for wide outs this early but hey, that’s what we do here…we do it for you. But enough about our undying love and dedication to you beautiful fans, let’s get into how I developed these rankings.

Going With the Youth Movement

One theme I realized upon completion was this: “Out with the old, in with the new.” Previously praised fantasy talents like Andre Johnson, Vincent Jackson, and Roddy White have tumbled down the ranks. This is largely in part to the rookie class of 2014 that came into the league and tore it up.

The star of that class, Odell Beckham, was perhaps the hardest dude to rank. In the end, I played it safe and left him out of the top 5 but kept him in the top 10 at the very solid 7 spot. I only mention this because I feel like Beckham is an elite number one and just sneaks into that grouping above AJ Green. I don’t know why I felt the need to explain that, but I did.

And hey, if you’re mad about where someone is ranked, IT’S ALRIGHT. After all, it’s only March…

I absolutely hated fantasy football back in 2009. But what happened next was simply amazing. I fell in love. And I've loved fantasy football since.
