It was an April 1st to remember.
The jokes were flowing, the birds were chirping (depending on where you live) and Patriots fans were as happy as always.
But then something weird happened...a new tweet from the verified Tom Brady Twitter account.
Loyal followers pulled out their phones to see what The G.O.A.T. tweeted, only to find out he just announced his retirement.
Many fans were immediately overcome with emotion as the team just said goodbye to Gronk. They couldn't go through such a personal loss again.
They responded exactly as we expected they would.
Some blue balls for the Jets fans
Some were surprised that Brett Farve didn't seize the opportunity to come out of retirement.
A few sly dogs were able to see his tweet for the joke that it was...with a classic Dodgeball reference.
We're also suckers for anything related to The Office. Which Boston Diehards nailed with this Dwight gif.
Ever take something super personal? Yeah, @3YearLetterman nailed it. And yes we know he didn't truly mean it....
And just for fun, the Patriots official Twitter account chimed in.
We know there are countless other tweets that crushed the response to Tom Bradys "retirement", but these are just a few that we loved.
If you actually care about fantasy football and analysis (that's what this site is right?), here's Tom Brady's current ADP (FFC) in 12-team leagues.
Yeah...you're reading that right.
Good olde Tom Brady is sitting at QB14. That makes him a QB2 as of now (remember, it's April 2019), but it still feels a big crazy.
Either way, there's no fantasy analysis for now. Just enjoy the offseason ride you fantasy football addicts.
Oh, and if you have some tweets from "The Retirement", share them below. We'll feature some of your favorites.
