That's what we're hearing from Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Apparently Browns officials have told the local reporters that they were working on the possibility of a deal with RG III. They also indicated that any trade talks about Colin Kaepernick have cooled significantly stating that their interest was "over-reported".
Their executive vice president of football operations, Sashi Brown, indicated that a move wasn't imminent.
Still, it's telling to see that they've moved away from Kaep and towards RG III. It could be due to the fact that everyone still expects them to take a QB at #2 in the 2016 draft. Not giving up a pick or dealing with a substantial contract with Kaep could just make more sense long term.[graphiq id="1OF2DFIaDD7" title="Cleveland Browns Overview" width="640" height="865" url="https://w.graphiq.com/w/1OF2DFIaDD7" link="http://nfl-teams.pointafter.com/l/23/Cleveland-Browns" link_text="Cleveland Browns Overview | PointAfter"]

For the record, I never actually played football. I have no doubt that I would get crushed running across the middle for a pass, every single time.
