Ahhh the Super Bowl. The greatest Sunday of the NFL season. Sure I'd ranking opening day right behind it but nothing beats seeing two teams battling it out to be named the champion.

Obviously we all hope year after year that it's our team but the reality is, millions of us are dissapointed each year. Despite that disappointment there remains an unrivaled interest in the game. Tickets sell for thousands upon thousands of dollars, millions of homes tune-in to watch the game and commercials and countless dollars are spent and made all in the matter of hours.

Like I said, there's nothing quite like it.

In the past we've been inundated with questions about the Super Bowl ranging from when and where it was to where people could watch it. We've never been able to find a resource that easily put it all together for us, so we set out to do just that.

Without further ado, here are the 2015 Super Bowl questions we were able to address:

  • The date and time of Super Bowl 49.
  • The location and address of the 2015 Super Bowl.
  • Getting tickets to the 2015 Super Bowl.
  • Places to stay for the 2015 Super Bowl.
  • The biggest advertisers of the Super Bowl.
  • Where you can watch the Super Bowl on TV.
  • Events leading up to the Super Bowl.
  • The teams playing in the 2015 Super Bowl.
  • Super Bowl 49 Fun Fact.
  • The halftime performer of Super Bowl 49.

If there's a questions we didn't address, tell us below. We'd love to add it to the list.

The Date of the Superbowl

2015 Super Bowl Date

For the record, this is the 49th Super Bowl and the 45th of the Modern-era NFL Championship Game. It'll be played on the first Sunday of February, which means it'll be played on:

Date: Sunday, February 1, 2015
Time: 6:30pm EST (4:30pm Phoenix Time)

If you're not watching it in person make sure to watch it on TV. It's the ultimate NFL experience.

Where is the 2015 Super Bowl Being Hosted?

2015 Super Bowl Location

I'll be honest, if you're looking to attend you should already know this. If you're just looking to find out, I'll give you a pass.

Location: University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona - The home of the Arizona Cardinals.
Address: 1 Cardinals Drive, Glendale Arizona 85305

Personally I've never been there but I hear it's a beautiful stadium. One of our writers, Don Christmann, was there earlier this season and he had a blast. For all of you that are attending, prepare to having a fucking awesome time.

Can I Get Tickets to the 2015 Super Bowl?

2015 Super Bowl Tickets

When there's a will there's a way. Just remember that you're going to have to pay top dollar if you're looking for tickets now, unless you know someone of course.

In the event you're still looking for some tickets, we'd recommend checking them out here:

  1. NFL Ticket Exchange
  2. StubHub
  3. SeatGeek

We'll advise you to only buy from reputable sites or people you know. Craigslist can be cheaper, but you're always taking a risk. It could work out fine, but just be smart about it. Can't say we didn't warn you.

If you're in the bartering business there's a chance you could find some people willing to deal tickets for engagement rings or other valuable things. We see it every year.

Can't say I'd do those deals, but hell I've never been in the position to sell my soul for Chiefs Super Bowl tickets. Maybe one day.

Where Can I Stay If I'm Going to the Super Bowl?

2015 Super Bowl Hotels - Arizona

Let's be honest with each other. If you don't have a place booked by now we wish you the best of luck.

We'd recommend looking for people that are renting out their places (ahem Airnib) or via craigslist. Prices are going to be crazy inflated, but if you're looking I'd image you're probably not too concerned about the cost at this point.

You probably already thought of this but if you have family in the area give them a ring, maybe you can stay with them in exchange for a nice box of chocolates or something.

If you're really hard-pressed here are some of the largest hotel chains in the area that may be able to help you (We didn't check availabilities at any of these places. So don't hold us accountable if all of them are booked, cause they probably are).

We'll give you our usual disclaimer, don't be dumb. If the price seems to be too good to be true anywhere you look, it probably is. If you go for it anyway, well cheers I suppose.

How Much Will a 2015 Super Bowl Ad Cost?

I know you're expecting it to be a lot, I sure was, but were you expecting it to cost $4.5 million for a 30-second commercial? I was shocked.

That's up 12.5% from the 2014 Super Bowl and I can't image they're having any issues getting companies to sign up.

All I can say is wow. The things I could do with $4.5 million.

Fun Fact About the 2015 NFL Super Bowl

2015 Super Bowl Chiefs

In 2005 NFL owners originally voted to award the Super Bowl to Kansas City, Missouri in honor of the Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt (founder of the American Football League in the 1960s). Commissioner Tagliabue announced that them hosting the game was contingent on the passage of two sales taxes in Jackson County, Missouri.

The first vote passed, however the second was defeated by only 2% by voters. The Chiefs announced following the votes that they would withdraw their request to host Super Bowl XLIX. Once the plan fell through three additional bids were submitted to host the 2015 Super Bowl - Tampa, Miami and Arizona. As they say, the rest is history.

I’m a simple man with simple pleasures. As someone who’s always approached life with the attitude that things could be worse, I’ve had an awesome time so far. I've been a fantasy addict for nearly a decade, and I've loved every second of it.

For the record, I never actually played football. I have no doubt that I would get crushed running across the middle for a pass, every single time.
